MONY ROBERT TOMBERLIN

Mony Robert Tomberlin, 52, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Wheeler County from an automobile accident. He was a member of Zion Church of God, loved Jesus Christ, and mentored the younger generation. Mony was a talented Carpenter for over 32 years and was to become a grandfather this coming September.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Glenn and Eteen Herndon, and J.D. and Letha Tomberlin.
Survivors include his daughter, Moni Tomberlin Anderson (Ty); his son, Seth Sikes; mother, Lynn Herndon Moody (Bub); father, James R. Tomberlin (Marla); his sisters, Alicia L. Bowers (Lynn), Shafia Freeman (Darvon), and Nesbitt Gignilliat (Ted); and a brother, Brent Tomberlin (Morgan), along with five nieces and two nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. at Asbury Church, 3423 Asbury Church Rd, Baxley, GA 31513, with the Reverend Bryan Gill, Reverend Shane Youmans, and Reverend Charlie Hinson officiating. Visitation was held from 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were Landon Murphy, Bo Moody, Shaun Murphy, Sammy Norris, Brandon Herndon, and Kyle Perry.
Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance.
