Darrell Holcomb honored for 33 years
Appling County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Darrell Holcomb was honored by friends, family and co-workers on Tuesday evening, January 20, at the Appling EMA building located on MLK Drive, with a retirement meal. Holcomb has served this community as a volunteer, employee, and director at the agency for more than 33 years. Holcomb and his wife, Karen, offered their sincere gratitude to everyone that showed up for the event. Thank you for the recognition. He has been humbled at the outpouring of love and appreciation from so very many. He heart has always been for serving others, and it always will be. I look for him to be a Rescue Volunteer again soon. It is part of who he is and always will be.
