Mr. Vincent “Edward” Boatright, 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation in Lyons, after an extended illness. He was born in Alma, and had lived in Baxley, for the past 25 years. Mr. Edward was employed as a cleaner at Milliken before his retirement. He was a member of the Zion Church of God. Edward was known for his laughter and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Norman and Luella Boatright.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Boatright; daughter, Jennifer Purdy; sons, Preston (Vanna) Stapleton and Duran (April) Stapleton; brothers, Vernon Eugene Boatright, Larry Eugene Boatright, Danny Mitchell “Boonie” Boatright, Bobby Norman (Harriet) Boatright, and a sister, Denise Sissy (Wendell) Justice. Brother-in-Law, Huey (Paula) Lane; Sister-in-Law, Denise Hayes. Survivors also included seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, along with a special aunt, Martha “Cootsie” Simmons.
Active Pallbearers were Justin Lane, Bryan Hayes, Lukas Boatright, Kyle Boatright, Adam Barber, and LB Boatright.
Honorary pallbearers were all in attendance.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Nobles Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior.
Interment followed in the Leggett Cemetery, 6828 Zoar Rd, Baxley, GA.
The staff of Nobles Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Mr. Vincent “Edward” Boatright.
