Deloach pleads guilty

According to Sheriff Mark Melton, on August 4, Laken Michelle Deloach entered a guilty plea in front of the Honorable Judge Stephen D. Kelley in the Appling County Superior Court. As a result of Deloach’s plea to one count of Homicide by Vehicle, First Degree, three counts of Serious Injury by Vehicle, Speeding, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Reckless Driving, she was sentenced to a total of 20 years, with 10 years to be served in confinement. Upon completion of the plea, Deloach was taken into custody and transported to the Appling County Detention Center to be held until she is transferred to Georgia Department of Corrections.
