Baxley’s newest chicken joint, Southern Roost, opened its doors to the public on Thursday, July 24. The farm-themed establishment was packed with hungry patrons, and the drive-thru line wrapped all the way around the building at peak lunchtime hours. Dinnertime was even more crowded, with the line reaching almost to the street.
