The Baxley-Appling County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Gents & Glam’s new location at 656 South Main Street on Monday, June 2. Camp G.R.O.W stands for Growing and Remembering Our Worth and strives to provide academic enrichment for students to retain knowledge during the summer season.

Founder Santina Fryer discussed the different events and activities students have the opportunity to explore over the summer, such as swimming, horseback riding, and aviation.

Mayor Tim Varnadore spoke on behalf of the City of Baxley, saying Camp GROW is a place where curiosity and friendship is encouraged. Two students who have attended the program for several years described what it meant to them.

Following the ribbon cutting and a musical performance by Giwayen Mata, guests were allowed to tour the facility of various classrooms as refreshments were served.
