The true heroes

What is your definition of a true hero? I don’t idolize the Hollywood types. Captain America is not my definition of a true hero. Chris Evans does a great job playing the role in the blockbuster movies, but I know that a real hero is the American service man or woman that served, or is serving this country, in real life to provide us with the freedoms we enjoy.

I watched other heroes right here in our backyards rise up last week. Law enforcement, EMA, EMS, fire personnel, utility workers, state, county and city public works employees are the real heroes that stood in the gap last week against hurricane/tropical storm Debbie. They did an outstanding job and deserve our gratitude.
