Altman arrested
On Wednesday, July 8, the Appling County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard Carl Altman, 42, of Baxley, for Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds. These charges originated in Livingston Parrish, Louisiana.
The Appling County Sheriff’s Office has numerous open investigations involving the Altmans (Richard and his wife, Heather) and their businesses. These investigations are being worked in conjunction with other departments within the State of Georgia and multiple agencies located in other states.

(Editor’s note: There are several recent court filings against the Altmans, including one temporary restraining order case filed by Northpoint Commercial Finance. This case asserts the Altmans and its companies Yess Holdings LLC/Yurezz Home Center, Inc. owes the finance company for inventory that was sold. Northpoint claims that Altmans and their companies owe roughly $5.3 million for sold inventory.
There have also been claims made by customers who purchased homes, or put money down on homes, from Yurezz Home Centers (multiple locations). Customers claimed they have not received their homes or that some homes that have been delivered have not been completed/setup. As mentioned above, there are numerous law enforcement agencies involved in ongoing investigations.)
