In the movie the Wizard of OZ there was the great and powerful Oz who was the ruler of the Land OZ. Everyone was reverent and fearful of him. He was portrayed in a smokescreen image as this scary powerful big green wizard. Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and The Cowardly Lion all stood before the great wizard and trembled presenting their request. Then Toto pulls back the curtain to reveal that the great and powerful Oz was just a little old man pulling the strings, but he was the man in power.
Whereas the Wizard of Oz is a work of fantasy fiction, it certainly reflects the reality of today’s politics. Sometimes we do not have to look at who is elected, but who has chosen them, backed them, and as to why. Whether it is local, statewide, or federal, it is all the same. One of the reasons Donald Trump was maliciously maligned and attacked was from the simple fact that he did not have a puppet master pulling his strings. He could not be bought. The weaponization of the agencies of the federal government to come against him has been unprecedented at least in modern history.
We are now entering into the political season where the puppet masters are choosing their wizards. Access is their goal. It is access to the public treasury, and access to being in position and control. Whether it be control of committees, or governmental boards, simply stated, any position for them and their accomplices to benefit from. Scripture says the love of money is the root of all evil. Raw money in itself is power, and it is power without principles. In other words, the means justifies the end, so whatever it takes is justifiable to the puppet masters and their ambitions for power and riches.
As I stated earlier, we are in the political season from which we will choose our elected leaders. These leaders will be sitting in the seat of authority that will decide how the public treasures will be spent, and will choose political appointees to sit on governing boards that also yield power. To you the voter, as you are deciding whom to cast your ballot for, one of the key factors to look for is who is backing them. Is it citizens wanting an honest government, or is it puppet masters wanting power and control? For them to have that power and control they need to pull the wool over the sheep’s eyes. Do not be blind and let them fleece the sheep.
