There was a wild fire on the Old Surrency Rd threatening a few homes, burnt 70 some acres containing cultivated pine trees as well as a rundown home and garage. Numerous fire fighting trucks from local departments and the Georgia Forestry responded. There were times you could not see 100 Feet down the road. Homes were evacuated.
