On Saturday, December 13, the annual Christmas Parade and Winter Wonderland was held by the City of Baxley and the Downtown Development Authority. This year, the theme for the parade was ‘Hometown Christmas.’ A large crowd came out and celebrated by watching roughly 40 different floats, vehicles, and participants going down U.S. Hwy 341 to bring Christmas joy through this small town. After the Parade was over, several people traveled down to City Hall to enjoy the festivities, food, and attractions at Winter Wonderland. This has been a big event for the city, with Winter Wonderland going on for over 20 years and the parade much longer. Many people enjoy this event, as it is usually a start to the Christmas season.
