Kathleen Overstreet

Mrs. Kathleen Overstreet, 74, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, after a short illness. Mrs. Kathleen was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County. She worked all her life caring for her husband and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Loren Ezra Bennett and Bessie (Strickland) Bennett; husband, Eugene Tommy Overstreet, Jr.; brothers, Ray Bennett, Loren Bennett, and Wardell Bennett; and a son, David Overstreet.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Overstreet and Gary L. Overstreet; her sister, Susie Swain; grandchildren, Nicholas Gene Overstreet, Britny Overstreet, Devon Overstreet, and Loren Overstreet; and great-grandchildren, Braylen Overstreet. David Ezra Kirkland, Mia Overstreet, and Riley Overstreet.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Nobles Funeral Home with the Reverend David Deen officiating. Visitation was held an hour before the service at the Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Omega Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers were Ryan B., Perry, Michael Lawson Dixon, Mason Ryan Perry, Brandon Devon Meeks, Johnny Wise, and Bryan Stacy Swain.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tracy Jr. Swain and George Stacy Swain.
