We have all heard about sales and service. The sale is to get you to buy, and the service is what is offered after the sale. There is a big difference between sales and service. There is an old joke about a man who went to heaven and when he got there, Peter met him at the gate and told him, “Before you can come in, you have to decide whether you want to go to heaven or hell.” Peter sent him to hell to check it out and said when you come back you can go check heaven out. When he got to hell, he was surprised it was nothing like he had heard. There was a golf course, a sports bar, a great buffet, and everything he might want. He was very impressed and back up to heaven he went. Saint Peter invited him into heaven, but he was adamant that he had made up his mind and wanted to go to hell. Upon arrival, he was shocked; it was torment, fire, and brimstone, and the pain was unbearable. He looked around and said, “What happened to the golf course, the sports bar, and all the food?” Satan laughed at him and said that was sales and this is service.
Every car dealership has sales and service, but it’s the service that keeps customers coming back. What sells John Deere tractors is their service. Politicians offer great sales just like the devil, but their service is usually like the devil’s also. The devil went up to New York City and helped place a mayor in office. The newly elected socialist/communist Muslim mayor has been elected by selling the people on all the free stuff like free daycare, free subways, lower rent, and less police force. They are going to be surprised when they discover somebody else must pay for that service. Those people who must pay for the service are going to pull out of hell and move to a more heavenly place.
Margaret Thatcher said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” Winston Churchill said, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
The root cause of all problems is always sin. In this case, it is the sin of covetousness (an inordinate and excessive desire for wealth or possessions, especially those belonging to someone else). The Biblical account in I Kings 21 of King Ahab and the vineyard of Naboth is a prime example of how covetousness can lead to other sins like murder. Jezebel had Naboth killed because she wanted his property for her husband,d King Ahab. Socialism at its core is covetousness. People who work for a living are being overwhelmed by people who vote for a living so they can get what they have worked for.
Historically the two major causes of death have been socialism/communism and Islam and the Democrats have embraced both. Twenty-three years ago, the people in Venezuela were cheering Chavez and socialism. Today, they are eating out of trash cans. Josef Stalin was once a hip, intellectual atheist, and a democratic socialist that led protests against the rich and powerful. In his rise to power, he promised equality. He then took over the private industry leading to mass poverty and famine. He killed twenty million of his own people. They promised the devil’s sales, and the people reaped the devil’s services.
