The Appling County Recreation Department’s 8u All-Star Football Team won the GRPA State Championship on Sunday in Tifton. The Appling team was up early in the championship game against a tough Dooly County team 7-0. Dooly came roaring back and regained the lead 8-7. In the final seconds of the ballgame, Appling County scored again to regain the lead and capture the state championship 14-8. Shown above are the team members.
