Herbert Bryant

Mr. Herbert Bryant, 78, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Mr. Bryant was a lifelong resident of Appling County, a former employee of Dixie Oil, and had operated the Martin Theater and Drive-In for over thirty-five years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a member of Oak Grove Church of God.
Mr. Bryant is preceded in death by his siblings, Dennis Bryant, Elbert Bryant, and Lucille Stanfield; his parents, William R. and Fannie Lee Davis Bryant; and his special friend, Jimmy Peacock.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years, Brenda Bryant; daughters, Christine Bryant, and Freda and husband David Cheek; son, Anthony Kersey; grandchildren, Olivia Cheek, Riley Cheek, Annalee Cheek, Spencer Cox Jr., and Elijah Cox; brother, Zeno and wife Bernice Bryant; and special buddy, Daisy.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Nobles Funeral Home with Pastor Brittney Parete officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
Active Pallbearers are Ivey Herrington, Georgie Herrington, Ricky Herrington Jr., Steven Gillis, Willie Bryant, and David Cheek.

Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of Hospice of South Georgia, as well as all friends and Family.
