Robert Earl Duvall

Robert Earl Duvall, 84, of Baxley passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mr. Duvall was born September 20, 1940 in Greenfield, California to the late Vildage Webster Duvall and the late Norma Sybil Maxwell Duvall.  He was a devoted member of Riverside Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and in many other capacities.  Mr. Duvall was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a retired retail manager with Wal-Mart.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Duvall was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Duvall, Fred Duvall, and Larry Duvall, and a sister, Catherine Roe.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Davis Duvall of Baxley; son, Kevin (Cayce) Duvall of Baxley; sister, Dolores Patty of Berryville, AR; brother, James Edward (Mary) Duvall of Broken Arrow, OK; and two grandchildren, Marissa Duvall of Statesboro and Gracie Lewis of St. Simons Island.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Justin McLellan officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Keith Davis, Dylan Carter, Ricky Carter, Earl Miller, Jimmy Wayne Davis and Ricky Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Riverside Baptist Church.

Musical selections were rendered by Ethan Hutchinson.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
