SHERRY ELAINE POPE

Mrs. Sherry Elaine Pope 79 of Sorghum Trail Blairsville, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side on Sunday, February 15, 2026 following an extended illness.
Mrs. Pope was born on May 4, 1946 in Oakland, CA., the daughter of the late Ralph N. Patterson and the late Era Chambless Paterson. Sherry was a loving and caring wife, mother
and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and also a sister, Carol Patterson. Mrs. Pope was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Pope are her loving husband and best friend of fifty-seven years, Roger Dale Pope of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter in law, James Kevin Bedgood of Milledgeville, Gregory and Lindsay Bedgood of Bentonville, AR., one daughter, Stephany Vandiver of Blairsville, three grandchildren, Tod, Hayden and Connor, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Temple
Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Beck and Rev. Nathan Dean officiating. Special music will be presented by Eric Wood.
Interment will follow at a later date in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will meet with friends following the services at the church.
Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
