Jamie Gardner
Is it me, or did 2025 just fly by? It seems like yesterday I was writing a New Year’s editorial for 2025. The older I get, the more often that seems to happen.
This year has been a great year for us at The Baxley News-Banner. We love bringing the news to this community and the support you show to us daily is overwhelming. Thank you for your continued support of this business. I’d also like to express my sincere appreciation for the support you have given to Gardner Printing Services.
Looking forward to 2026, we are gearing up for another great year with excitement. Baxley/Appling County is a blessed community. I still believe our community has not been hit as hard as other parts of the state and country, economically speaking.
The upcoming year will also be an election year. Please, please, please, get out and vote. There are many local, state and national seats to be decided. As always, I encourage you to make an educated/informed vote. One thing I have noticed… isn’t it amazing that you never see your incumbent elected officials until it’s time to go vote again? Some are getting an early start this election cycle pandering for your votes. You might even call these folks professional politicians. I still strongly support term limits.
As we approach 2026, my wish is that you will have a blessed year full of love and prosperity. My hope, or resolution, is that I will not allow life to pass by me as quickly in 2026 as it did in 2025.
Happy New Year!
