Virginia Evans Landmon

Virginia Evans Landmon, 95, passed away peacefully at her residence in Baxley, December 11, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born in Cobb County on February 24, 1930, to the late John W. Evans and Helen Burnette Evans. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edwin Landmon; son and daughter-in-law, James Christopher Landmon (Tammy), her sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie Ruth Deal (Ralph).

She retired as a bank teller after many years in the banking industry. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church of Douglasville.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Landmon (Mary Alice) of Baxley; grandchildren, Jessica Landmon (Jason), Sarah Todd (Michael), Josh (Rachel) and Jason (Brooke) Landmon and their mother, Tina O’Donald, Anthony Millsap (Brittany) and Daisy Campbell (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Kenna Jaye Colson; Cason, Ali Beth, and John Michael Todd; James Carter and Charlee Landmon, Aiden and Owen Landmon; Kamden and Emmett Millsap; Gavin, Lachlyn, and Elowyn Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, with Pastor Terry Pearman officiating. Interment followed at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglasville. The family received friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Active pallbearers included Mrs. Landmon’s grandsons.
