Barbara Lukinovich

Mrs. Barbara Lukinovich, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Wellstar Medical Systems in Augusta, Ga. She was known as “Nana” and was a light in every room she entered. Barbara was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the best Nana her family could ever have hoped for. She showed her love through time spent with the kids, taking them to the zoo, on vacations, and on game nights at home. Barbara had many friends with whom she spent time and loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Geneva Cossey, and a daughter, Bobbi Kay Lukinovich, along with one older brother and two younger brothers.

Surviving include her husband, Clement Nicholas “Nick” Lukinovich; daughters, Denise Lynn Lukinovich and Jessica Dyan Lucas; grandchildren, Ashlyn Lucas, Kalyn Oliver, Jeslyn Garnett, A.J. Wilson, and Nicholas Stewart; fourteen great-grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a private Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date, with the scattering of Barbara’s ashes.
The family asked for donations to be made to the Appling Healthcare Foundation.
