8u Softball All-stars win State Championship

On Friday, June 27, the Appling County Recreation Department 8u softball all-star team traveled to Sylvania to play in the GRPA 8u District 2 Class C State Championship. Appling defeated Screven County by a score of 13-12. The team came home and rode on a fire truck in a parade through town to celebrate this major accomplishment later that Friday. Congratulations to the players and coaches on their hard work this season and for bringing home a State Championship.
