Lady Pirates Win State Championship at home

On Saturday, May 17, the Appling County High School Lady Pirates played for the GHSA AA State Championship. The Lady Pirates hosted the match being the number one team in the playoffs and hosted the Columbus High School Blue Devils. The Championship came down to the last match of the game, where the Lady Pirates scored the last point, making the final score 3-2. After the match ended, the Lady Pirates were presented with the championship trophy and medals for their championship. To end the spectacular day, the Lady Pirates climbed onto a fire truck and went through town, showing everyone that they brought home another championship to Baxley. Congratulations Lady Pirates on bringing another championship home to Appling County.
