Charlie Raymond Wheeler

Mr. Charlie “Raymond” Wheeler, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2026. Raymond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of Redeemers Worship Center and married Patsy Wheeler for 55 years. He was a kindhearted man to friends and family. Raymond never missed a chance to talk to anyone who would listen. He will be remembered as the grandchild whisperer.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Raymond and Vonell Wheeler; brothers, David Owings, Michael Owings, Harry Owings, and Ralph Owings; and sisters, Nancy Dykes, and Lanell McKinney (Earnest), along with a special pair of grandparents, Charlie and Nancy Bryant Buckins.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Wheeler; sons, Robert Alton Wheeler (Cindy) and James Keith Wheeler (Kendra); a brother, Johnny Owings; his sisters, Sharon Smith (Nathan) and Carolyn Courson; grandchildren, Autumn Fariss, Kason Wheeler, Kade Wheeler, Kinsley Wheeler, Rhett Wheeler, and Rocky Wheeler, along with great-grandchildren, Wrenlee Fariss, Gunner Fariss, and Cedar Rose Fariss.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2 pm from the chapel of Nobles Funeral Home, with Reverend Darron Jackson and Reverend Mitchell Jones officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Military Honors will follow at the church cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Kason Wheeler, Kade Wheeler, Jason Taylor, Tyler Taylor, John Taylor, Neil Rogers, and Darron Jackson.
Honorary Pallbearers are the employees of Matrix Cabinet Company, members of Redeemers Baptist Church, Willard “Pete”, and Melissa Howard.
