Randall Robert Thomas

Randall Robert Thomas, 84, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Mr. Thomas was born November 1, 1940 in Appling County to the late William Frank Thomas and the late Ruby Pearl Davis Thomas.  He was a member of the Baxley Christian Fellowship and was a self-employed mason. Mr. Thomas was a subcontractor for many years with Boykin Erectors and at Plant Hatch for several years. He loved to square dance and line dance and enjoyed riding his white horse, George.  Mr. Thomas was preceded in death his siblings, Gladys Carter, Frankie Mae “Poodle” Tillman, Bill Thomas, James Thomas, Jerry Thomas, and Wallace Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Linda Thomas; sons, Randy Thomas (Michelle Maze) and Rodney (Adriane) Thomas; sister, Nell Carter; brother, Rudolph (Jeannine) Thomas; grandchildren, Duston (Megan) Thomas, Chelsea (Mason) Kersey, Skyler (Katelyn) Thomas, Shaw Thomas (Gabby Ellis); great grandchildren, Asher Thomas, Kimber Thomas, Samuel Thomas, Adalyn Thomas; several step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Congregation Christian Church with the Rev. Tommy Daniels and Rev. Shaun Lewis officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Bart Carter, Jerry Thomas, Wally Thomas, David Tillman, Scott Sumner, and Tim Taylor.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
