It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Appling County Public Library. The ladies of Crocheted with Love have been working on a special surprise for library patrons: a four-foot stable and Nativity. The project began coming together this spring when they brainstormed how to create a display for the Christmas season that would continue to be useful throughout the year. And so, in the new year, the project will be disassembled, and there will be blankets and toys to donate, gift, and enjoy. This year’s creation is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Alene Thomas, who never saw something pretty that she didn’t love, nor a mechanical problem that she wouldn’t tackle. Also, special mention goes to Donna Trowell, a good friend and dedicated crocheter. Crocheted with Love would like to give a big “thank you “ to Mr. Strickland and his team for their support and encouragement.
Crocheted with Love meets on Mondays from 3:00 to 5:00 at the public library.
