Joseph Henry Walker

Mr. Joseph Henry Walker, 60, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at PAM Health Specialty Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Lumber City, GA., and had lived in Baxley for most of his life. Mr. Joseph was employed as a salesman for Frito-Lay before he retired. He was very active in the Baxley community and loved to fellowship with his church friends as a musician and student of ministry. Joseph was known for his laughter and love for his children and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Homer Eugene and Johnnie Creamer Walker, a brother, Rickie Walker, and a grandchild, Adriel Walker.

Survivors include his son, Benjamin Walker of Baxley; daughter, Candace Walker (Myron Walton) of Baxley; brothers, Jerry Walker of Florida, and Michael (Daphne) Walker of Cobbtown; sisters, Catherine Lee of Monroe, and Rhonda (Wes) Wood of Suwanee, FL; grandchildren, Athena Walker, Phoenix Walker, Drecal Henderson, Keladon Henderson, La’Michael Holsey, Wisteria Holsey and La’Niya Holsey.

Active Pallbearers were Wayne, Michael Walker, Benjamin Walker, Myron Walton, and Brion.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Nobles Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Interment followed in the Satilla Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The staff of Nobles Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Mr. Joseph Henry Walker.
