The time is ripe to visit Farmers Market

Spring is the season when fresh vegetables start to come in and human palates turn to those delightful flavors. Some local stores carry fresh local produce; some do not. That found at the local farmers’ market though is about as fresh as it comes. Lots of it slept in the garden or field the night before.

The Appling County Farmers’ Market beside the Water Works Park is now open for business as the produce has started coming in. Two vendors were there on Saturday, June 4, with ample wares for sale.
