Pirates win big at AAA State Track and Field

The ACHS Track and Field team won big this past week, May 12-14, at the AAA Track and Field State Championships. The event was held at Grisham Stadium in Carrollton. Darris Smith won the championship in the AAA Boys’ 400 Meter Dash. Then Smith along with William Solomon, Jermaine McMillan and Camden Hickox won the AAA Boys’ 4x400 Meter Relay. The Lady Pirates also had a big win in the AAA Girls’ 4x200 Relay. Team members included Jasmine Holmes, Perri Mitchell, Teandra Clemons and Cadence Cray.
