Pirates move to 3-0 on season, face Tift this week

The Appling County High School Pirate football team was able to tame the Mustangs of South Effingham Friday night at Jimmy Swain Stadium by a score of 41-10. This moves the Pirates to 3-0 on the season. The local squad will travel to Tifton on Friday, September 10, to play the Blue Devils of Tift County High School. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. The Blue Devils are also 3-0 on the season. For complete coverage of Friday night’s game, turn to page 11a.
