Parker honored by Georgia Senate

State Senator Blake Tillery (above center) recently honored the memory of the late Lewis Parker for his years of service to Appling County with Senate Resolution 206, which honors Parker’s years of service to this community. Shown above are members of Lewis Parker’s family accepting the resolution from Tillery, including, Kevin (son), Missy (daughter-in-law), Vickie (wife), Mason (grandson) and Merrick (grandson). Lewis Parker served Appling County as Baxley Police Chief, Appling County Sheriff and Appling County Commissioner Chairman. His years of public service spanned decades. A portion of the senate resolution cites that Lewis Parker was a compassionate and generous man and will be remembered for his love of God, family, friendship and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing him.
