Robert David Jarrell, Sr., 87, of Baxley, died Sunday, October 11, 2020. 

Mr. Jarrell was born November 27, 1932 in Winter Gardens, Florida to the late David Lee Jarrell and the late Athla Carter Jarrell.  He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War and was a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 26, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Mr. Jarrell was also retired from the United States Postal Service. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jarrell was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Jarrell; sister, Jessie Mae Herndon; and brothers, John Jarrell and Thurman Jarrell. 

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jarrell of Baxley; daughter, Frances Jarrell of Baxley; sons, Robert “Bobby” Jarrell, Jr. of Jesup, Joseph Randolf Jarrell, Sr. and William Edgar “Bill” Jarrell both of Baxley; sisters, Mary Carr of Boston, MS, Betty Griffin, Linda Johnson, Peggy Johnson, and Connie Price all of Baxley; brothers, Frank Jarrell, Harry Jarrell both of Jacksonville, FL and Donald Jarrell of Hazlehurst. Grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Jared, Jessica, Donnie, and Joey; and six great grandchildren also survive. 

A graveside memorial service was held Monday, October 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Appling Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
