Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Pat Williams, 87, who passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Memorial Health. Mr. Williams was a native of Jacksonville, Florida, living for the past 51 years in Appling County. He was a USMC Korean War Veteran, long time employee with Modern Financial Services, and a Baxley City Councilman for the past 25 years.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Elijah and Verdie Cruse Williams.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Joyce Williams; four children, Leslie Patrick Williams Jr., Jeff Williams (Tanya), Shelia Elliot (Ricky), and Kimberly Williams; nine grandchildren, Sean Williams (Alissa), McKenzie Williams (Kristi), Hunter Williams (Ashely), Kayla Drury (Zach), Michael Elliot, Logan Elliot, Michaela Todd (Kevin), Austin Doyle, and Lora Melton (Justin); thirteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Jeannie Williams.
The funeral service was held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Adam Thomas officiating.
Visitation was held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mayor Tim Varnadore, Baxley City Council Members, City of Baxley Employees, Employees of the Appling County Sheriff’s Office and the Baxley Police Department, service men and women and first responders.
