Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. John Hardwick, 76, who passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the Jeff Davis County Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a member at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. John retired from Dairy Queen of Baxley after 50 years of service; he was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, who loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Missouri Barber Hardwick; and one sister, Erma Lee Stallings.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Crummey Hardwick; two children, Kevin and Tina Hardwick, and Kimberly and Jeffrey White; five grandchildren, Kyle Hardwick, Michaela Hardwick, Noah Mobley, Jonah Mobley, and Micah Mobley; five great grandchildren, Ryker Hardwick, Slater Mobley, Emory Russell, Archer Mobley and Braelynn Russell and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members also survive.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Wayne Williamson, Reverend Rick Brown, and Reverend Doug Weisel officiating.
Interment followed in the Omega Cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Active Pallbearers were Kyle Hardwick, Jonah Mobley, Noah Mobley, Michael Spino, Chris Reynolds, and Brad Turner.
Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Jason Laney, Dr. Jeffrey Butler, members of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church, and everyone in attendance.
