Grace Louise Boice Eicher, 86, peacefully passed away surrounded by her children on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her home. Grace was born October 9, 1936 in Irwin, PA to George and Eliza Boice. She has lived in Baxley for 43 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and retired from the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and Developmental Disabilities Ministries after 25 years of service. Grace greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, knitting, quilting, and doing ceramics. She loved to serve and care not only for her family, but other during her life. In years past, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Appling County Healthcare. She taught senior adult ladies Sunday School class and sang in the church choir. She truly loved and served the Lord faithfully.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Richard Wayne Eicher, her parents, her two brother and two sisters. She is survived by her five children, daughter Debbie Assad (Peter), daughter Patty VanDerPloeg (Robert), son Ron Eicher (Donna), son Randy Eicher (Tammy), daughter Amy Spikes (Alan), fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Baxley.
