Dan Sherod Beecher, 39, of Baxley passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dan was born on December 3, 1983 in Bremerton, Washington. He attended Dunn Memorial Baptist Church, and he enjoyed fishing and cutting grass. Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Wilton Beecher and Edwin Dudley; and a maternal grandfather, Sherod Higgins.
Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and Joyce Beecher of Baxley; sister, Jocelyn (Chad) Arrendale of Barney; brother, Jared Beecher of Morven; maternal grandmother, Annette Higgins of Baxley; paternal grandmothers, Lourine Dudley of Baxley and Emily Beecher of Hazlehurst; nieces, Karlie Arrendale and Kelbie Arrendale both of Barney; and his beloved little cousins, Lily Anna Johnson, Sadie Johnson and Scooter Dills.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Andrews and Rev. Bill Stone officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Clifton Kersey, Brent Johnson, Jamie Miles, Corey Griffin, Lonnie Weaver and Jason Shipwash.
