Mr. Curtis James Harris was born on November 4, 1952 in Baxley to the parentage of the late Willie and Bertha Harris. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrie Harris. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Oaks at Bethany in Vidalia.

He was educated in the public school system of Appling County and was employed for many years with Bo Branch as a home mover. He later joined Giving God the Praise Outreach Ministry in 2018 under the leadership of Pastor Loraine Drake.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four daughters Aurical Kelly, Bridgette Crayton, Latoya Crayton, and Felicia Kelly, four sons, Tramar Harris, Michael Crayton, Curtis Crayton, and Stacy Smith, four sisters, Elizabeth Surrency, Tonya (Alvin) Byrd, Elaine Harris, and Sharon Gibson, two aunts, Udell Jenkins and Willie Mae Norwood, 31 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a special nephew, Alfonzo Nails, two special cousins, Tyrone “Poppy” Harris and Norris Gibbs and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held at Rachel Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with the Pastor Loraine Drake presiding and the Bishop Michael Jordan giving the eulogy.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

Musical selections were rendered by Bro. Melvin Mims and Sis. Tammy Richburg.

Professional services were entrusted to C. M. Brown Funeral Home.
