Carrie Hunter Geiger, 71 of Baxley died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Bacon County Hospital. 

Mrs. Geiger was a lifelong resident of Appling County and was born on June 29, 1950 to the late William Doc Hunter and the late Inez Carter Hunter. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Geiger. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Camby and Jimmy Howe of Bonaire; son, Christopher Geiger of Baxley; sisters, Fodia Geiger of Hilliard, FL, Peggy Mincey and Lela Dixon both of Baxley; brothers, Floyd Hunter and Bill Hunter both of Baxley; and grandchildren, Autumn Chevell Geiger, Christopher Geiger, Jr., J.J. Howe, Jr., Korbin Paul Hollensteiner, and Adria Cail Perkins.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Williamson, Rev. Rick Brown, and Rev. Benji McReady officiating and a eulogy by Sissy Dixon.  

Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

Active pallbearers were Brent Geiger, Ted Mincey, Charles Coley, Benny Dixon, Kevin Hunter, and Kyle Hunter. 

Musical selections were rendered by Glenn and Sherry Beach.  

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
