Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. honored

On Monday the Appling County Branch of NAACP celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a parade and brief program. The parade featured entries by businesses, inidivduals, civic groups and organizations. The theme for this year’s parade was “A time to learn and remember.” Dr. Casandra Hall Carter was this year’s Grand Marshal and is shown in the top photo.
