The Appling County Lady Pirates volleyball team will host the opening round of the AA State Playoffs at home on Tuesday of this week. The Lady Pirates defeated Wayne County last week at home and held Senior Night. Three seniors were honored including Vera Kate Tyre, Myracle Richburg, and Addalyn Thornton.
The Lady Pirates finished the regular season 12-3 and 9-3 in Region 3-AA play. They are ranked eighth in all of AA play.
