The Appling County High School Pirate football season came to an end Friday night in Norcross against the Spartans of Greater Atlanta Christian (GAC). The Pirates battled hard but came up a little short, 31-13. The Pirates made it all the way to the top eight teams in Class AAA and had an overall record of 9-2 this year. Great job, players, coaches, cheerleaders, band and school for such a great effort this season. Shown above is sophomore running back Jaylen Johnson (2) trying to escape a facemask by a GAC defender.
