Appling County Retired Educators met on Wednesday, December 10, at Fourth District. Principal Garrett Cranford welcomed our group. The meeting was opened by ACREA President Patsy Buchanan. Retired Educator Gretchen Miles read a Christmas story to students. Academic Coach Jessica Edenfield brought students in Kindergarten through fifth grades to share Christmas memories and perceptions which they wrote. Mrs. Sandra Smith and the ACREA Choir led the group in Christmas carols, accompanied by Jimmy Johnson on guitar. The meeting concluded with an ornament exchange and fabulous lunch served by the Fourth District cafeteria staff. Thank you to Mr. Cranford for your warm welcome.
