On Saturday night, December 6, the green located behind the Baxley City Hall will become covered with snow as the seventh annual Winter Wonderland will be held. Come out and enjoy snow sledding, pictures with Santa, trolley rides, hot chocolate and so much more.

The event is sponsored by Baxley Better Hometown and the City of Baxley.

Immediately before the Winter Wonderland, find a good spot on on East Parker Street or Main Street for the 17th annual Celebration of Light Christmas Parade sponsored by the Baxley-Appling County Chamber of Commerce. The parade is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.

Each year local merchants, civic groups, churches, schools and businesses design floats that light up downtown Baxley to kickoff the holiday season in the community. This year’s grand marshals for the parade are Max and Helen Gardner.
