Mexicans are invading a sovereign U. S. state. Arizona appears to stand alone in its fight to keep illegal immigrants from Mexico from crossing its border and flooding the state. In fact, the illegals appear to have gained some new allies in their bid to overrun the state. Obama, the president of Mexico, Al Sharpton and, of course, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), have joined in the onslaught against Arizona.

The fallout over the dispute spread across the border into Mexico Monday as Mexican President Felipe Calderon said the law is discriminatory and warned that relations with the U. S. border state will suffer. Calderon says trade and political ties with Arizona will be “seriously affected.”

Mexico’s government is also warning its citizens in Arizona about the law, saying there is “an adverse political atmosphere for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors.”

Mexican Visitors!!!??? The Mexican government and its president would have served them better if they had warned them to get legal or get out of Arizona and back to Mexico.

Arizona has been struggling against this incursion for a long time without much help from the federal government. Recently, since the U. S. Government has failed to protect the citizens of Arizona, the besieged state took a strong stand to defend its border by enacting a tough crackdown.

Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, who signed the bill on Friday, said Arizona must act because Washington has failed to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs from Mexico. The state is the nation’s busiest gateway for people slipping into the country.

Arizona’s robust new law allows police to ask anyone for documents proving that they are in the state legally. (Why is this bad? Police ask me for my driver’s license and proof of insurance when they stop me at a license check point.)

As was expected, the new law is drawing fire from the left-wingers who claim that it is “racial profiling”.

Employees at the Arizona Capitol came to work Monday to find that vandals had used refried beans to smear swastikas on the windows. In addition, protesters gathered for an eighth straight day to speak out against a law they say would lead to rampant racial profiling of anyone who looks Hispanic. The protestors attacked the police by throwing bottles and other objects. (How uncivil. I thought only Tea Partiers stirred up trouble.)

President Barack Obama, who warned last week that the measure could lead to police abuses, asked the Justice Department to complete a review of the law’s implications before deciding how to proceed. (What about the people of Arizona who are being abused by the Mexican invasion?)

Well, more power to Arizona. It is about time someone had the guts to stand up, speak out and talk back. Our president sure does not. There are 460,000 illegals just in Arizona. Instead of our president coddling these people maybe he should do HIS job and send them back to Mexico post haste!!! No, I am not a racist but I am very much against criminals and call them what you want but that is exactly what they are!!!! I hope the rest of the Border States follow suit. Accolades to Governor Jan Brewer for standing up against these criminals that drain our system.

Supporters of the law, set to take effect in late July or August, say that it is absolutely necessary to protect Arizona from a multitude of crimes being committed by illegal immigrants.

The controversial Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his department has arrested some 38,000 illegal immigrants in the past three years and the new law will give him the tools to step up his efforts to combat the flood coming across Arizona’s border with Mexico. “I will arrest the people that are here under the new misdemeanor law and book them into our jails,” Arpaio said.

Go for it Governor Brewer and Arizona!!
