What about Thanksgiving?

Dear Editor,

We have all forgotten how blessed we are. How far in life could we go without God’s help? We remember Halloween, decorate and celebrate. What about Thanksgiving? Did you bless anyone this season with a hello, a prayer, food or clothing? Whatever the need might be?

Love is the key. God is all about love for He is love and He blesses us in so many ways, then we forget to give thanks by showing some sign or helping someone who doesn’t have and are less fortunate. God doesn’t ask for much, He owns everything but wants us to recognize Him with praise and by helping one another. Then we begin to celebrate Christmas, which is a grand time for celebration, and thanks for God for the birth of His Son, that we live and have the opportunity to give Him thanks, but when and how do we give Him thanks? We forget what Thanksgiving is all about. We are blessed to live in America and have the opportunity to feast together, but what about those that don’t have? There’s one thing for sure there will come a day when we must leave all our worldly possessions behind, for everything is moving by the power of God, we can’t move without him.

We wonder why so many things are happening. We need to get in line, show more love for one another. There is a storm out on the ocean and it’s coming this way. I don’t know how, when, or where it’s coming from, but I do know we have been and are truly blessed. Together we must stand or divided we will fall. In so many ways He is saying to us enough is enough. Remember prayer is the key! And we all need one another. God bless this Thanksgiving.

Always Your neighbor in love,

Mrs. Rebecca A. Ogden
