Dear Editor,

On Friday night, Aug. 21, 2009, residents, family members and guests were treated to an evening of fun, food and festivities at the Pavilion. The theme of the evening was “Motown” with music provided by Trelaine McKinney, also known as “The Motown Man”, husband of local physician Dr. Patty Henry. After quite a few lively tunes sung by “The Motown Man”, delicious refreshments were served. It was a delightful evening for all in attendance.

I would like to personally thank everyone who helped make this evening for our residents (and other guests) such a success. Staff members helped decorate the activity room as well as helping serve the refreshments and assist the residents; family members and guests (friends of the Pavilion for various reasons) provided the food, assisted in serving, and helped the residents who needed assistance. In summary, we could not have had such a wonderful evening without the cooperation and assistance of staff, family members and others in the community. We are truly blessed to have caring people who give us a hand when we need it for our residents who have helped make our community what it is.

Forgive me if anyone is left out but you know who you are and again, thank you for all you do for us.

Virginia Hamm

Activity Director
