On Saturday, November 8, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4472, and the Appling County War Veterans will host a Veterans Day Memorial Service at the Appling County Courthouse. The event will start at 11:00 a.m.

The keynote speaker will be LTC Daniel Cormier, BN CDR, 1-30IN, 2nd BCT, 3IS, from Fort Stewart. A Color Guard from Fort Stewart will also be in attendance.

A state officer with the Veterans of Foreign Wars will also make a presentation.

Immediatley following the ceremony, guests are invited to attend a luncheon at the Post home located just off Ten Mille Road.

All veterans from Appling County and the surrounding area are urged to attend.
