Mr. and Mrs. George Williams of Baxley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kara Denise Williams, to Godfrey Yaw Akese Gaisie, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Godfrey Gaisie of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Gertrude Gaisie of Durham, North Carolina.

Kara is the paternal granddaughter of the late Herman Williams and the late Janie Williams of Baxley.

She is the maternal granddaughter of the late John Crayton of Columbus, Ohio and the late Mrs. Annie Melton of Albany.

Godfrey is the paternal grandson of the late Godfrey Gaisie and Mrs. Florence Boison of Ghana. He is the maternal grandson of the late Joseph Collingewood-Williams and Mrs. Elizabeth Konadu Appiah of Ghana.

Kara is a 1999 honor graduate of Appling County Comprehensive High School. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia. She is currently employed as a certified public accountant at a firm in Atlanta.

Godfrey is a 1993 graduate of Copley High School in Akron, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University and a Master of Architecture degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is currently employed as an architect at a firm in Atlanta.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at Druid Hills United Methodist Church in Atlanta. Family and friends are invited to attend.
