Brian and Aubrey Baxley are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Jala Cate Baxley. She was born at 7:15 p.m. on March 22, 2009 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Jala weighed nine pounds, one ounce and was 20 7/8 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Janel and Dale Thompson of Sylvania.

Paternal grandparents are Shelia and Steve Baxley of Baxley.

Maternal great-grandmother is Margene Thompson of Sylvania.

Paternal great-grandparents are Mabell and Dave Pruitt of Baxley.
