The Appling County Board of Commissioners met for a regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 7. The main topic of discussion was the condition of Appling County roadways after recent damaging rains. It was reported that 65 roads had been completely or partially closed throughout the county and the county road department is working as quick as possible to make needed repairs. At the time of the meeting it was reported that 25 roads had been reopened.  The commissioners expressed gratitude to the road department for its hard work during these difficult times.
