Saturday’s contest would be for the region tournament title; the Pirates would face the Buc’s of MCA. The game was a back and forth battle all night. Despite being down by five going into the final quarter, the Pirates climbed back even with the Buc’s by games end sending the game to overtime. During the extra period, the Pirates couldn’t capitalize on several Buc’s turnovers and fell by a score of 62-53. As a result of the Pirates making a great tournament run, they will host the opening round of state playoff competition this Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. The Pirates will face Mitchell County.

Please come out and support the Pirates!!
